Beverly Ann Hawthorn

Beverly Ann “B’Ann” Hawthorn was greeted by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Beverly Ann Hawthorn was born December 2, 1933 in Clayton, New Mexico to Jim and LaVeeda Parker. She graduated from Central High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1951. Beverly and Edward Hawthorn married and combined families in July 1966. They raised their family in Belen and Clovis, New Mexico. Beverly worked for the railroad as a telegraph operator until retirement. Ed and Beverly retired in Logan, New Mexico where they enjoyed the relaxed life on the lake. Beverly was active in the Church of Christ and the Logan Senior Citizens. Bevely was known for her love of painting ceramics, creating beautiful porcelain dolls, sewing, and crafts. Central to Beverly’s life were her faith, family, and food. She loved her family unconditionally, and constantly demonstrated love and devotion to her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren, and extended family.

Beverly is survived by one son, Michael Jones, of Canyon, Texas; Marilyn Swope, of Bastrop, Texas; and Kyla Nelson of Canyon, Texas. She is also survived by step-daughters Eileene Massey of Melrose, New Mexico and Sheree Brown of Las Cruses, New Mexico. Beverly was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Edward Hawthorn; parents Jim and Leveeda Parker; brother Kyle Parker and sister-in-law Jan Parker; step-children Janice Fouts and Clay Hawthorn; and grandchildren Brad Fouts and Jeremy Hawthorn.

Beverly lived with energy, generosity, and faith in Christ. Beverly will be deeply missed but her family and friends are rejoicing in the memories and love.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., Mountain Time, at the cemetery in Logan, New Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Logan Senior Citizens.
