Brooke Aren Dawdy

Brooke Aren Dawdy, 45, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2024. She devoted her career to early childhood education as a teacher at Head Start in Bastrop, where she impacted countless young lives.

She is survived by her mother, Terry Dawdy, father Danny Dawdy, sister D'Lane Moore, and three beloved nieces, Mayzie, Annsley, and Emry Moore. She is also survived by her grandmother, Lorraine Taylor. Preceding her in death are her paternal grandparents, Mike and Merline Dawdy, and her maternal grandfather, Sims Taylor.

Brooke, a dedicated educator and loving family member, touched many lives through her work and relationships. Her legacy lives on through the children she has taught, the lasting impact made through her service to her church and community, and the light of Christ she displayed to all she encountered. 

Services for Brooke will be held Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Celebration Community Church. The church is located at located at 287 FM 20 in Bastrop, Texas.

Family and friends will gather for a fellowship meal from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. The celebration of Brooke's life will begin at 1:30pm.
