Cliff Harvey Stephens, age 85, of Sun City, Georgetown, TX was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June, 8th 2023.
He was born December 16th, 1937 in Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Felton and Mildred Stephens and brother Terry Stephens.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Stephens of 67 years; two daughters, Debbie St. Clair and husband Scott, Melinda Griffith and husband Steve; five grandchildren, Shelley and husband Chris Pastore, Stephen Lapham, Ashley Hardwick, Brittney Griffith, Lauren and husband Brett Jameson; one great-grandson, Gabe Lapham; one brother, Phil Stephens; one sister, Judy Long and many nieces and nephews.
Cliff attended Austin Public and Private Schools. His Junior High and High School years he attended Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, South Carolina
Cliff served in the National Guard for 8 years starting in January of 1956 and finishing in January of 1964.
Cliff worked at the Deptartment of Public Safety (DPS), Holy Cross Hospital, Western American Life Ins. Company, Statistical Services Corp. and Howdy Honda Austin, TX.
He started his own Construction business in building custom homes and Cabinets in Bastrop, Texas. He and his wife moved back to Austin in 1992 and they started Able Bookkeeping Service working together in their home and retired in 2021.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00am on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home with burial following at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.
The funeral home is located at 505 Old Austin Highway in Bastrop, Texas.
