Clinton Smith

Clinton "CB" Blake Smith, age 59, of Bastrop passed from this life on Tuesday, January 30, 2018. CB was born November 6, 1958 in Midland, Texas to Malton Dale and Marilyn Jo Smith. He grew up in Midland and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Midland. CB moved to Bastrop some 35 years ago. He married Peggy Seward 30 years ago here in Bastrop.

He was employed by Patterson Drilling Company. CB loved to "hang out" with friends and was the one who kept them laughing all the time.

CB is survived by: his mother, Marilyn Jo Smith; his wife, Peggy Smith; daughters, Jessica Glenn and Dustie Howell, sons Chad Ashby and Justin Ashby, daughter Staci Jo Smith; grandchildren, Daniel Ervin, Jr., Aaleyah Flowers, Jeremy Flowers, Caydence Ashby, Chasity Ashby, Colton Blake Ashby, Dylan Blaze Bradford, Leslie Paige Glenn, Sarah Marie Glenn, and Garrett Wayne Glenn.

A celebration of CB's life will be 1:00pm Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home, 505 Old Austin Highway, Bastrop, Texas.
