Darrell Keith Saegert

Darrell Keith Saegert of Bastrop, Texas was born on January 28th,1963. He passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2024. Keith graduated from Bastrop High School in 1981. Keith worked many jobs with his most recent being McCurley Enterprises. Keith retired from LCRA after many devoted years. Keith loved all things ranching, spending time with his family and friends, traveling to softball tournaments, and youth rodeos. Oftentimes, you could find Keith on the back of a horse with a Coors Light in his hand enjoying a team roping or working cows with his buddies. Keith was a devoted husband and father to Kim and his four children. 

Keith is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; Tom and Lavern Townsend and Walter and Alvina Saegert, his mother and father in law; Loretta and Jerry Fohn, and uncle Tommy Townsend. He is survived by his wife Kim, his son Cody, and three girls Riley Johnson (Paul Ryan), Kamryn, and Delaney. He is also survived by his mother Myrlene Saegert, his father Henry Saegert (Sue), his uncle Geary Townsend (Carmen), his aunts Byrlene Jones and MaryAnn Townsend, and his best friend Michael Hilbig (Amy). 

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff at Ascension Seton for their devoted care to Keith. A special thank you is extended to Dr. William Kessler, Dr. Samuel Leonard, and Kelly Swap, AGNP-C, for their compassionate care, knowledge, and unwavering support during this challenging time. We will always remember the difference you made for Keith and our family. To the numerous family and friends that visited our family in the hospital, we love you and are so thankful for each of you.
