Donald Wayne Weeks, born March 5, 1950, in Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, in Bastrop, Texas due to congestive heart failure.
A dedicated public servant, Mr. Weeks proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a jet mechanic. Following his military service, he embarked on a diverse career path, working in the oil fields as a mud logger and later contributing to the construction of bridges across the southern states. He also found fulfillment in the construction industry, building homes and honing his skills as a handyman.
Mr. Weeks cherished the great outdoors. He found solace in fishing and the tranquility of sitting by a campfire. He will be deeply missed by his family, including his son, Donald Wayne Weeks Jr. and daughter-in-law Lindsay Rae Weeks; his grandchildren, Landon and Scarlett; his sister Penny Jeanette Worley; and his aunt, Beverly Ann Burson.
Mr. Weeks was a man of unwavering strength and kindness, possessing a heart of gold. He instilled in his loved ones a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature.
Memorial services will be held privately.
