Donald Wilkinson

Donald Gene Wilkinson passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 17th, at the age of 68.  He was born to Glen and Nina Wilkinson on August 3rd, 1952 in Lubbock, Texas.  He married Tiffany Prewitt on September 27th, 1997.

Don enjoyed the beach with the sand between his toes, his music of all kinds, and barbequing.  He was a movie buff and always ruined the endings by guessing them.  He spent his younger years playing his passion on multiple softball teams and even his opponents became friends.  He carried that passion to coaching younger kids in baseball.  Most of all, though, he loved spending time with his family and friends.  Spreading laughter and giving hugs everywhere he went.  He was the kind of person who made everybody feel like somebody.  There was never a time where he wasn’t supporting kids and sports organizations or anyone in need.  Always there to put a smile on your face no matter the circumstance.

He spent his early years working with supporting, rehabilitating and counseling troubled youth.  As a camp counselor, he often spoke about his bond with many of the people he was able to place on a better path of life choices.  He also called himself a jack of all trades and no challenge was too big.  You would often see him with a tool belt, hammer and all the tools of the trade.  He spent 20 years working with his dad and then with RealCo Remodeling learning all the ropes.  He spent the next 15 years with Fox Services and most recently, working for Indigo Facility Partners building lifelong friendships everywhere he went.

He is survived by his mother Nina Wilkinson, wife Tiffany Wilkinson, daughter Tiffany (Grahm) Robinson and sons Robert, Patrick (Ally), Blake, Cody, and Zachary Wilkinson, and grandchildren Logan and Zoe Robinson and Charlee, Kaliah, and Konner Wilkinson.

Don is one of five children.  Those that have survived him:  sisters, Glenda Moore (David), Sherril Kullenberg; brothers, Ronald Wilkinson (Sharon)

Don was preceded in death by his father Glen Wilkinson and his sister Pamela Leisure.

A memorial will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 23, 2020  at River Valley Christian Fellowship Church in Bastrop, Texas.
