On November 3, 2022, Dorothy "Dottie" Price, beloved friend, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, extending generations, entered the arms of the Lord. They had 3 children, Ronald Pat & Joseph Kell, both born in California, and shortly after moving to Texas in 1954, daughter Deborah Kay was born. Dorothy later moved to Bastrop in the late 1970s where she loved to fish and enjoy the lake and outdoors. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed volunteering and being part of many groups within her church and community, including her cherished Widow's Group, the Women's Republican Group, and was touted as the Pistol Packing Granny by a news interview in her later years.
Dottie was a resident of Bastrop for over 40 years and also volunteered for the Bastrop County First Responders when she was in her 60s. She loved tending to her garden and sharing the fruits of those labors with friends.
