Douglas M. Williamson, age 71, died peacefully at his home in Garfield, Texas May 19, 2018
after many years of illnesses.. He was born in Clanton, Alabama on August 8, 1946.
Doug was a Navy Veteran. He served aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Independence during Vietnam. He was a retired master carpenter and painter.
Doug leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Carol Williamson of Garfield, Texas; son, Joe Douglas Williamson (Debra) of 8 Mile, Alabama; daughter,
Jennifer Albritton (Mike) of Gulf Shores Alabama; sisters, Elizabeth Littlefield (Myron), Katrina Williamson both of Clanton, Alabama; grandsons,
Danny R. Spears, Jr. of Garfield, Texas, Bryan Albritton of Gulf Shores, Alabama; granddaughters, Melissa Ann Quintero (Al) of Austin, Texas,
Jessica Albritton of Gulf Shores, Alabama and seven great-grandchildren. His daughter Terri Hallingsworth, parents, grandparents, brother and
many aunts and uncles preceded him in death.
Doug was a kind man with a loving spirit and will be deeply missed by all.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2018
at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, Texas. A graveside service will take place at
11:00am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Haynie Chapel Cemetery in Garfield, Texas.
