Earl Wolf

Earl "Wolfie" Wolf, 59 of Rockne, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family.

Earl was born to Nash and Hilda (Bartsch) Wolf on March 6, 1957 in Bastrop, Texas. He married Dovie Milam in Rockne, Texas on January 8, 1982. Earl and Dovie would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary next week.

Earl worked for Bastrop County as the Road Foreman for Precinct 3. He was always a happy, cheerful person who never met a stranger. Earl was a Lotto enthusiast who enjoyed the little things in life. His tastes were simple and he loved being outdoors. He loved tinkering with machinery the most, but above all, he loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife Dovie, son Kirk, daughter Amber, brother Harold (Laurie) and sisters: Pauline (Richard), Bonnie (James) and Betty.

Services will be held at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home, 505 Old Austin Hwy in Bastrop, Texas. Visitation, Thursday evening from 5-8 pm; Funeral service on Friday at 10am with burial to follow at Bateman Cemetery in Red Rock. Pallbearers will be Roy Milam, Craig Milam, Chance Milam, Larry Foreman, Zachary Foreman, Ryan Wolf, and Eric Spurlock.
