Elaine Doris Houseton

Elaine Doris Houseton passed away January 30, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born in West Virginia on November 1, 1935. She was the daughter of Lester and Susan Crawford.

Elaine was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was blessed with six children, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, John Houseton, Jr., sons John David Houseton and Steven Smith and grandson Sean Owens

She is survived by her sons, Coleman Michael Smith (Sandy), and David Alan Smith and daughters, Nancy Campbell and Linda Hackney (Mark); grandchildren, Jason Smith (Amanda), Matt Houseton (Michelle), Travis Houseton (Erin), Tamara Miller (Craig), Michelle Crawford (Mitchell), and Chris Brown; great-grandchildren, Ainsley Houseton, Aidan Smith, Alex Smith, Declan Crawford, Cora Crawford, Rowen Crawford, Grayson Miller, Mackenzie Miller, and Hunter Miller

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. The visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home 505 Old Austin Hwy. Bastrop, TX 78602 with Graveside Service will begin at 11:00am at Fairview Cemetery 1409 HWY 95 N in Bastrop, TX 78602
