Gertrude Ursin

Gertrude Marie Ursin "Trudy" of Bastrop, Texas passed away at home on August 1, 2017. Trudy was born to AV and Laura Summers in Galveston, Texas on July 5, 1931. She married Emile N Ursin in Galveston on July 23, 1949. Emile and Trudy raised 8 children. She also served as the secretary and CCD teacher for the church in Texas City.

Trudy is preceded in death by her husband, Emile and son, Arthur Ursin. She is survived by her children: Marty Duvall, Laura Glasscock, Paula Brown, Catherine Ursin, Carol Ursin, Ellen Kelley and Michael Ursin; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 siblings.

Marrs Jones Newby will host her visitation and Rosary Service beginning at 6pm on Thursday, August 3rd. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30am on Friday, August 4th.

Memorial donations in Trudy's name may be offered to the Bastrop Public Library, 1100 Church Street, Bastrop, Texas 78602.
