Janet Shook

December 30, 1949 — April 21, 2019

Janet Shook went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the age of 69. She was born In Crowell, Texas to Marietta and Cecil Carroll.
Janet had a huge heart and acted on her calling to teach children. After she had finished her career teaching kindergarten she realized she had a passion to help children. This passion began her volunteer work with CASA. Janet received several awards and acknowledgments for her long-standing support and advocacy for children. That same passion carried over into Janet's neighborhood. She started a "Gift" program at the Colony that has positively affected many children in the neighborhood. She was such a positive person. Janet will be missed often and remembered even more.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Janet is survived by her husband of 50 years, Stan Shook; their daughter Nicole and her husband Shelton Reeves; and several extended family and close friends.
