King Rawlins

January 25, 1940 — March 25, 2019

Milton King Rawlins died Monday, March 25, 2019 at his home in Cedar Creek, Texas.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Marilyn Sue Rawlins; his daughter, Victoria McCuistion;
Son-in-law, Dan McCuistion; grandchildren: Becca, Holly, Hether, and Hanna;
great grandchildren: Walker, Sophie, and Nora; Brother: Jim Rawlins; Sister: Jerry
McCombs; numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends.

King was preceded in death by his Father, King Henry Rawlins, and his Mother,
Julia Sturgis Rawlins Henry.

Known as King or Sonny to friends and family, he was born January 25, 1940 in Dallas,
Texas. King attended Sunset High School and Arlington State College. King first started
riding motorcycles when he was 15 and probably had every brand (except a Harley) by
the time he stopped riding in his 70's. He also participated in auto cross, and it was in the
Corvair Camaro Sports Car Club where he met and married the love of his life, Sue on
April 27, 1968. The best and only child - Victoria Carol, was born on January 1, 1972.

King worked for National Cash Register for 17 years and then with a move to Austin
became the Vice President and General Manager of Resource Building Materials. He was a
natural salesman. Once the white hair showed up, he became a natural Santa Claus and
loved dressing up and bringing cheer to children in December.

King always had lots of fun, hunting, boating, fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles. He
was a true outdoorsman with many family vacations traveling across Texas and enjoying
all that nature had to offer. Many of those trips were on motorcycles with the Gypsy
Motorcycle Club or the Austin Road Riders Association.

Cedar Creek UMC became the cherished church family in 2004 and King truly enjoyed working
in the church and helping however he could.

Grandpa King loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and any time he got to spend
with them or take them some place. He was always so proud of them.

King lived life to its fullest and loved large.
