Marcos Margarito Delgado, Sr. was reunited with his mom and dad on July 18, 2020. He was born in Bay City, Michigan to Alma and Placido Delgado.
Marcos made a career crafting pool tables and dart boards for Valley. In his 15 years with them, he managed to work his way up to the Union President. When work began to require more travel and time away from his family, he decided it was time for a new career. His family was extremely precious to him. He was a hard worker and not afraid to try new things. He spent some years at a boat company, eventually moved on to an electrical and welding job, and at one point received a CDL and drove school busses. When his children grew and moved away to start their own families and careers he wandered down to Texas to be closer to his brothers and sisters. As life does, his journey had gone full circle as his children started moving to Texas to be closer to him.
Marcos was an avid fisherman and angler. He especially loved the thrill of bringing in a good salmon. He also enjoyed darts and playing guitar. He had a gift and joy for woodworking and carpentry. It goes without saying, he could build almost anything out of wood.
Marcos Margarito Delgado, Sr. will be remembered fondly and dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Alma and Placido; sisters, Gloria Pfund and Lisa Trevino; and brothers, Geno and Steven Delgado.
Marcos is survived by his children, Sarah Slater, Anthony Delgado, Marcos Delgado, Jr. , Krystal Havens; grandchildren, Jordan, Hailee, Owen, Cohan, Kentlee, Braelynn and William; sisters, Bert Salinas, Sandy Mason, Emily Cornejo; brother, Art Delgado; and several extended family and friends.
