Maria Juarez-Herrera

Maria Leonor Juarez-Herrera, 81, of Smithville, Texas, passed away on January 15, 2022.

Maria was born on April 19, 1940, in Jose Maria Morelos Pinos, Zacatecas, to Nestor Juarez and Maria Isabel Herrera. Maria has four brothers, Manuel Juarez, Francisco Juarez, Benjamin Juarez, and Ernesto Juarez Crecio and one sister, Odilia Juarez in the community of Jose Maria Morelos. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed doing charity work. Maria was generous with what she wanted to give and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 5:00pm-7:00pm followed by Rosary at 7:00pm in the chapel of Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop. Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 21, 2022, at 10:00am at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop.
