Maria Martinez

Maria Solis Martinez, daughter of Arnulfo Solis and Agrepina Martinez, passed away February 25, 2022.

Maria was a kindhearted, humble, hard-working, an independent woman, loving mother and grandmother. She was a strong and selfless woman always putting herself last. Maria loved her family and her garden, gardening was her passion. A week before she passed, she said to me “When I die I hope God puts me in charge of all his beautiful gardens.” She will be remembered for her strength and kindness, her dedication to keep fighting to live another day. She will always be loved and remembered until we unite once again, God bless you mother may you rest in peace. We love you.

Maria is survived by her children and grandchildren, Nuestra Querida Santa Madre, estuviste aqui con nosotros y nos ensenastes  carino, amor y a luchar siempre. Sabemos que ya te fuiste y te fuiste con dios, pero tan solo tus ensenansas y tus lindos recuerdos siempre los llevaremos con nosotros. Descansa en pas Madrecita mia te amamos todos tus hijos.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the chapel of Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home in Bastrop, TX followed by rosary at 6:00pm. Mass will be Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00pm in Ascension Catholic Church of Bastrop, TX followed by burial in Upper Cedar Creek cemetery in Cedar Creek, TX.
