Mary and Sam shared the love of bowling. They joined many leagues over the years in Houston and Bastrop, Texas. Mary enjoyed hand embroidering items such a pillowcases or pictures to add to blankets for her grandchildren/great grandchildren. She loved all flowers and plants. She enjoyed helping her daughter plant every Spring and Fall. Mary loved Christmas and was always so excited to see their property decorated for the Christmas holiday. She would receive calls each year telling her how pretty everything looked for Christmas. She was able to see her Christmas tree lit up for one last time. She wanted a flocked Christmas tree this year and her son Samuel had it sent to her home. Mary's daughter Ellie put it up the very next day so that her mother could see it. She began to call her friends and family to tell them how beautiful her tree was this year.
Mary never met a stranger. She loved to talk and would be on the phone for hours enjoyed conversation with family and friends.
Mary enjoyed seeing her family altogether. We would all go bowling on special occasions as a family. They made sure we all had our own bowling ball and shoes. We enjoyed each bowling outing together as a family.
