Mary Ann (Hall) Nicol claimed the promise of her Baptism in the early hours of Monday, December 12, 2022. She was born September 3, 1957, in Austin, Texas to Edward Hall and Viola (Weirich) Hall. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dave Nicol; her mother, Viola Hall; her 2 children, Emily (Nicol) Cosman and Andrew Nicol; granddaughter, Rylee Cosman; sister, Helen Birch; brother, David Hall, and many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Hall, and several loving family members.
In life, Mary was a spirited woman who loved her family, fishing, church, being a nurse, crafting and a good Hallmark Christmas movie. She would always tell stories of her time in Germany, growing up and driving the back roads to Uncle Louie’s, and youth group shenanigans. Mary thrived on helping others, as seen by her 30+ year career as a nurse. She enjoyed a good debate and wasn’t one to back down. Mary absolutely loved being a grandma and getting to spend time with her only grandchild, Rylee.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas.
