He then worked for various firms as a Professional Engineer in Maryland and Texas, while maintaining his many state Professional Engineer Certificates. He contributed to his industry through papers and presentations and was prized for his input to American Concrete Institute standards. To support clients, he traveled extensively throughout the world to various construction locations to ensure the tools he developed were used safely and efficiently.
Finally settling in Schertz, Texas, he continued his contracting work, and was instrumental in the development, funding, and completion of a new water supply system for the city and several surrounding communities. Following his retirement, he moved to Carriage Inn in Katy, then Atria Senior Living in Sugar Land, Texas.
