Stacey Lynn Miller, 58, passed away August 10, 2021 in Bastrop, Texas.
Stacey was born and raised in Orange, Texas. She was a true Texas woman with southern hospitality who cherished her family and friends, never met a stranger, loved cooking and being out in nature, especially the beach and Port O’Conner, which was her happy place. She graduated from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in business management and moved to Austin shortly after her graduation. She met Steve in Austin, where upon meeting her, he called her Mrs. Miller because he knew he was going to marry her one day. Together they were partners in life for 20 years through thick and thin sharing business ventures together, traveling, and enjoying life together as best friends.
Stacey made sure to tell loved ones I love you upon ending a conversation. She loved and was so proud of her daughter Alexa and the young woman she is becoming, always making sure to talk to her every day. She cherished being called Nana by her two grandsons, Steven and Hunter and spending time with them. Stacey loved her family and friends faithfully and equally. She valued time spent and conversations with everyone, always laughing and bringing joy into a room.
Stacey was a loving and exceptional daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nana and friend who knew that we are not of this world and her belief and faith in Christ will one day have those who believe as she did, gathered together again where she waits for us in the presence of God and Heaven.
Stacey was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Garrett.
Stacey is survived by her father, Billy Garrett; husband, Steve Miller; daughter, Alexa Martinez (Rolando); sons, Steven Miller II (Rebecca) and David Miller (Stephanie); grandchildren, Steven Miller III and Hunter Miller; brothers, James Garrett, John Garrett (Monica), Steve Garrett (Kim); and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great-great grand nephews.
