Terri Lynn Ascerno was born January 20, 1961, at Bergstrom Airforce Base in Austin, Texas, to Bill and Elfreida Carrasco, sharing a birthday with her eldest sister Caren. She is preceded in death by her sister Caren Cowfer, her mother Elfreida Carrasco, her father Bill Carrasco, and her great-grandchild Luca Ascerno.
Terri married David Ascerno on July 18, 1981, living in Austin for a few years until moving to Cedar Creek. Together they shared a family of 5, with their children Darrick, Cristal, and Mallery. Along with David and her children, Terri is survived by her 3 siblings, Deanne, Richard, and Becca, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her life also lives on in her 10 grandchildren, Lucas, Lily, Ariana, Karree, Dominic, Sereniti, Karmin, Eyan, Jade, and Omar, and her 3 great-grandchildren, Xavier, Xander, and Santana, whom she was very proud of and loved very deeply.
To Terri, the most important thing in her life has always been her family. She was always very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, making sure to be there for games, shows, and everything in between. One of her great loves in life was gardening and her succulents, even having the resolve to care for a thriving group of cactuses in Pennsylvania, where she was living.
Terri passed peacefully under the care of St. David’s South Austin Medical Center on November 19, 2024, in her sleep. Her final days were spent in peace and surrounded with loved ones.
