Wade Wood

Wade Austin Wood 88 ½ years old, reached his journey’s end on August 18, 2019 in his home in Cedar Creek, Tx. He was born at home in Cox, OK to  George Washington and Mary Iola (Gordon) Wood on Feb. 10, 1931. He married Georgia B. (Thompson) Wood July 22, 1949 in Bakersfield, CA.

He worked at Riverside Fence Company for 14 years and started Austin Fence Company and worked it for 21 years before retiring.

He is survived by his son Daniel Wade (Sue) Wood , youngest son Timothy Lynn (Ruth) Wood, grandsons David (Sherylyn) Wood, Brent (Denise)Wood, Cristopher Wood, Jerome(Stephanie) Wood, Brandon (Wanda) Wood, Bryan (Kyrsti (Gagliano) Wood, Bryson Wood, and only granddaughter Melanie Wood (John) Friske, 18 great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 1 brother and many nephews and nieces.

Wade made friends everywhere he went. To know Wade was to love him. We will miss him here on earth but will meet again in heaven.
